Unfortunently I've posted a lot of my arguments with no intelligent counter arguments from a single person. And because of this im finding this a bit usless until we have some pro wcs ppl come forward with some legit responses instead of flames.
to the point... kudos for keeping at it i'm more or less taking a breather from this thread, it's gets annoying explaining basic logic to some....

Full rack of WCS on an unarmed/lightly-armed vessel for travel/transport = OK; it's what they were designed for. WCS on a combat ship as a get-out-of-combat-free-because-you-are-too-cowardly-to-chew-what-you-bit-off-by-entering-lowsec card = the reason that they are a tool for the lazy, ignorant, and stupid, and the very reason that they need a serious nerf. They should be put back into medslots and use cap, IMO. That way, they will actually require skill to use. Also, make different-sized WCS for different ships: frig, cruiser, and battleship. Either that, or simply make them have a stacking penalty, as Odet said. Except like this: 1x WCS = +2 warpcore strength; 2x WCS = +3 warpcore strength (2 for the first one, 1 for the second one due to the stacking penalty, much the way webifiers and damage mods work today); 3 or more WCS = +4 total. Any WCS after that = highslot deactivation due to the amount of energy needed to stabilize the ship's warp field, something like MWDs, except MWDs gimp your cap instead.

I dont get how they dont see that theyre unbalanced.
as was said before in the thread, who cares if you have no armor hardner if you can just warp out, with no risk?
WCS currently dont fit the risk vs. reward thing.
theres no risk to using them, and many ships can fit a pretty decent setup and have WCS left, therefore they get the reward of their ratting or whatever, and no risk since they can warp out
and these people dont know everything its already hard enough being a pirate. no way into empire, very ahr dot get supplies, and for the rolyplaying part, i dont play with an alt, if i was a pirate i would need a NAP with some manufacturer.
once i used 2 merlins and a ferox to take down a caracal in carrou. he was like "whats shooting at me im not trying to fight" <after we pop him, including my friend scramming the can instead of the pod > "whyd you kill me i was only looking for rats i wasnt looking for trouble or trying to fight anyone i never attacked you wahtd i do to get that and it wasnt fair it was 3 against 1 blah blahblahblahblahblblblahahsls"
um, last tiem i checked carrou is 0.4. as i quote my friend "consider it your formal welcome to low security"
now they come in here and say to travel with more people. when that happens, they cry gank/unfair.
whats suppsoed to happen? either let us point out why stabs need to be balanced, or stop complaining about why we have 5 people attacking you when youre by yourself. ------------------- uhh.. what does this button do? |
